Building for the Future
Capital Campaign

ADA Accessible Elevator

A Lula Elevator, making our church ADA accessible. This will allow those who are handicapped, wheelchair bound, or physically challenged easier access into both our building and our worship area.

Hi-tech Conference Room

A hi-tech conference room that will give us an additional room for meetings, small groups, and new member intake.

Handicap Accessible Bathrooms

Mens and womens bathrooms that are handicap accessible.

Youth Area

An upper-level youth area for the purpose of having an exclusive space for our young people to have children’s church as well as teen ministry.

Large Lobby Area

A large lobby space that will allow us to have a café, welcome station for visitors, and a space for people to socialize before and after church service. This expanded lobby will also allow us to have a larger space for our community baby pantry held once a month. To date the pantry has helped hundreds of families in our local community.
  • The Building for the Future Capital Campaign is an 18 month funding campaign. This campaign will prayerfully allow us to accomplish our strategic goals for this new addition.  We strongly encourage our members, former members, and strategic partners to consider how you would like to participate in this 18 month funding campaign.
  • We ask that you prayerfully join as we celebrate the great and wonderful things that God is doing at Second Baptist Church. Think about the families that can be helped as we will now have an enlarged space for our baby pantry. Consider the children that will be helped as we utilize our new youth space to develop the next generation of young people who will be good citizens, employees, and future leaders. Our desire is to develop young people for the purpose of keeping them away from drugs and crime in order that they may have a productive life.
  • If you would like to submit a campaign pledge you can do so with one of our pledge envelopes found in the pockets of our sanctuary chairs or click the button above to go to our secure pledge giving form.

How we plan to meet our goal!

We are asking current members, former members, and strategic community partners to prayerfully consider making a financial commitment to the Building for the Future Campaign. We're reminded of Proverbs 11:25, which says, "The generous soul will be made rich. And he who waters will also be watered himself."
Every donation made for this building addition is extremely valuable to us and will be used solely for this project. We understand that everyone has different financial circumstances, so, below we have a hypothetical chart that demonstrates how our church expects to achieve our financial goals.

Frequently asked questions

What is our goal for this capital campaign?

We have two goals: 1) That every able member of Second Baptist Church make a pledge/commitment, and 2) that we raise our goal of $250,000.

How long will this capital campaign last?

This capital campaign will last for 18 months. It will run from April 1, 2024 – October 5, 2025.

How do I decide how much I should give?

Your decision to give should be a prayerful one, made between you and God. Following prayer, we encourage you to wisely review your current budget and family needs to best determine how much you can contribute.

How much should I be expected to pledge, and how soon will I need to pay it?

Your pledge amount will be the total amount you expect to give to the capital campaign over the next 18 months.

Do I have to make a pledge, or can I just make a contribution from time to time?

All pledges, including yours, will help determine what we can reasonably expect to receive for this campaign. A pledge is encouraged, but not mandated. Feel free to make a one-time, weekly, monthly, or quarterly contribution as you are led to do so.

When do I need to let Second Baptist Church know about my commitment/pledge?

The deadline to submit your campaign pledge is July 7, 2024. Please bring your pledge card to the church at your earliest convenience or complete it online by clicking the button below.

When will construction begin?

We expect construction to begin sometime in the Summer and Fall of 2024. This project is expected to take 9 months to complete.
